Hot Day
I was feeling good again Walking there Without an umbrella Under the sun Because I would feel it without hiding For the shade But I was having a good time Walking for cigarettes On a wobbly road With a dog too loose on the side And a nice lady thinking I was in it for an errand the houses With red steel roofs and a nice garden With hanging pots It was that lot That made me smile Outside their gates While I scrabble to feel My lighter I too had a beautiful garden and some stone steps That mightve been forgotten To be taken away When the contruction had finished Somehow it just fit there With the mud because it gets too muddy when it rains And the dangling hoses On some bark And an awkward edge of cement Where I smoke on the steps Behind this blue dam While looking onto the Green weed The grass The guava trees And a yellow painted house Which did not fit with its neighbors That I could see their car Where I dream to be in that car I try to...
